The Lupus Society of Alberta was incorporated as a non-profit charity in 1973 and has remained a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization since its establishment. Our Society is devoted to meeting the needs of people touched by lupus through education, support, and research. We share premises with the Arthritis Society and are open to the public seven hours daily, five days a week. As we are a volunteer organization, we suggest phoning prior to visiting to ensure someone is available to answer your questions. If you are visiting after hours, please ring the bell to the Arthritis Society.
Our office includes a library containing articles, magazines from various organizations, books, and videos. Most of these may be purchased or borrowed free of charge. A computer is available to interested parties in order to obtain information about this disease from the Internet. We welcome the public to this resource.
Board meetings are held regularly with an Annual General Meeting held in April. These are open to the public and we ask that you contact the office for more details if you are interested.
